floating compass

Pytheas is a compass for marine navigation, inspired by the first compasses in human history – which were made from a magnetic needle placed on a leaf floating on the surface, and helped our ancestors navigate towards food, water and shelter.

The compass is made from brass and manufactured in a metal stamping technology.

Its design is inspired by pool floats and life preservers, in order to allow the metal to be capable of floating and as a form of association with the marine environment to which it belongs.
