SNOWDEN
laptop jewelry peephole cover

In 2013, Edward Snowden revealed classified NSA documents proving the United State government is surveilling its citizens in various means, one of which is via remote controlling the cameras on personal laptops.
The product came to life following this discovery: it is a viewfinder cover for cameras which allows one to maintain privacy without compromising the cameras usability.
Itis designed as an elegant jewel like accessory for the computer, and attached to it by strong, glass-friendly, double-sided adhesive.
It is only 0.8 mm in thickness, slim enough to allow the computer to be closed without any difficulty.
Snowden was created as part of a student competition in cooperation with "Peleg Design", announced as a winner and is in advanced stages of development with the company.
